Staff Accountant - Bank Operations

Applied Bank is seeking a qualified Staff Accountant to join their team.
Position is in-office, Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm, at the operation's headquarters in Glen Mills, PA.
The Staff Accountant provides general accounting functions for daily operations of the bank through the responsibilities listed below.
At all times the accounting functions performed by the Staff Accountant will be in conformity with GAAP and the internal control structure of the Bank.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for all accounts payable functions in accordance with bank policies, GAAP and regulatory guidance.
Produce daily journal entries to recognize the activities of the bank.
Responsible for the production and recognition of daily accruals of income and expense items.
Responsible for booking and monitoring fixed assets in accordance with GAAPResponsible for the reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts.
Responsible for the daily production of interim financial statementsExercises discretion and independent judgement in performance of accounting responsibilities.
Education & Work
Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.
S.
) in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university, with at least one accounting internship.
One (1) year of related work experience preferred; previous experience in public accounting preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
